FIERCE, FEARLESS AND FREE BY LARI DON.

Book review by Olivia Francis!

This book has lots of different legends, myths, fairy tales and folk tales from around the world. It’s about girls who have different skills which help them become amazing and also to get themselves out of trouble whether it is with wicked witches or angry werewolves and hippos, the girls defeat the challenge in front of them.

I read this book to my Gran over FaceTime during quarantine and we both loved  it (especially the bits that made her cringe.) What I liked about this book is that the different stories were from around the world not just from one country. I also like the folk tales between chapters.

My favourite story was The Lace Dragon because the girl inspired other people to learn how to make animals out of lace for others.

This book made me feel like anything is possible when you keep trying even if you don’t do it the first time.

I would recommend you read this book because it has lots of different chapters within including myths, folk tales and more. This book was also funny as well as the many other amazing things it has! It is a short book but incredible and I think you all should give it a try but remember, don’t judge a book by it’s cover especially not this one.

I give this book five stars!
