The British Motor Museum, formally known as the Heritage Motor Centre, re-opens Saturday 13 February after the Museum has undergone a major refurbishment to show off the world’s largest collection of historic British cars to even better effect.

With elevated views, more stories, cars to sit in, new family activities plus an extra 230 cars to see, some that you may not have seen before, there is lots more to keep your family entertained on a day out.

During every school holiday themed activities add to the fun, with crafts, trails, quizzes and interactive workshops. New for 2016 family tours with one of our enthusiastic tour guides will help bring the cars to life and younger visitors can even cruise along in one of our push along cars.

Our onsite café has everything to keep you fuelled throughout your visit with hot and cold meals and children’s lunch boxes. Kids can also let of steam in our children’s outdoor play area.

February Half-Term – Build a British Car Week

13 – 21 February 

You and your family are invited to the re-opening of the British Motor Museum, 13 – 21 February where you can join us for a week of British cars. Everyday test your knowledge with the ‘Family Story’ trail and join one of our workshops in our LEGO® Education Innovation Studio where you can get creative, building a British car with LEGO® bricks.

WORKSHOPS
Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 February 10am – 3pm
How cool is your British car?

Build a British car in our LEGO® Education Innovation Studio and see where it ends up on our cool wall.

Monday 15 – Thursday 18 February 10am – 3pm
Technic Workshops 

Design, build and test your own vehicle using LEGO® technics and become an engineering apprentice for the day, see what you can design!

Friday 19 February 10am – 3pm
Build a balloon powered car

How far will your LEGO® brick sports car travel? Will it glide along the ground or float away?

Saturday 20 February 10am – 3pm
Build a rubber band powered car

Use a rubber band to power your LEGO® brick British car, can you beat the current British Motor Museum’s record?

Sunday 21 February 10am – 3pm
25 Brick Challenge

Can you build a British Motor Car with 25 LEGO® bricks and four wheels?
