Amber’s Language, Music and Play: French Classes for 0-6 year olds
Amber’s LMP is a special way of learning French for babies and young children, developed by teacher Amber Semple. My approach is very gentle, classes are small and I like to get to know each family well, so that I can tailor things to you and your child. We sing familiar songs, e.g. ‘Baa Baa Black sheep’, but in French. The songs are accompanied by signs based on British Sign Language. We also do a lot of dancing and actions, and have fun with props, toys and bubbles.
I’m re-designing my class programmes and age-boundaries, after returning from maternity leave, and I’m looking for feedback from you about what you’d like to see, and when you’d like a class to run – weekdays or Saturdays.
Please contact me on email@example.com or on 024 7501 0568 to find out more or to join a waiting list for a class.

Classes for 0-4 year olds:
These classes operate in a similar way to toddler music groups. There is a Hello and Goodbye song, with a number of songs in between based around a topic. We have a new topic every 8-10 weeks so you are always learning new things. There are games and activities to accompany the songs, and some sessions include interactive story-telling.
After the main singing session, children have themed free-play in my dedicated indoor and outdoor play spaces while the adults have opportunity to relax with a coffee and a croissant.
Classes for Reception and Year 1:
This is a small class (no more than 6 children). It includes:
- Signed singing time (Our core learning activity)
- Story-time using core text books
- Snack time
- Activity time to practise vocab
- Resources and activities to take home
Between classes, you can use my free YouTube channel to help you and your child learn the French songs at home, and you can also purchase music. The main part of this class is with the children only, although you can stay and help them settle, and you are very welcome to relax with a hot drink in the kitchen or the garden while the children are learning.
