My name is Nikki and I am a Mum of two beautiful (I am biased but they are) children. Isaac is a Christmas eve baby and is now four and Olivia is seven! I am a teaching assistant as well as a blogger and as you can tell I really have a passion for children…well, they keep us young, so I’m told! I adore taking photographs of us all out and about and my iPhone is currently nearly capacity with over 18,000 photos! I’m sure all Mums can relate to that. One day when I’m rich I’ll invest in a super cool camera, until then I remain an amateur.
Four years ago I created a local support and advice group for parents in my area called Mum Knows Best Warwickshire at the time I had a four month old baby and was looking for answers to what I thought might be silly questions. It turns out they weren’t silly at all and there were loads (hundreds in fact) of Mums in the same boat as me.
I have realised the incredible power of Mums who pull together, be it toddler tantrums or problems with allergies, the Mums in the support and advice group have stood by one another at any time day or night to offer their kind words and advice to what is usually a complete stranger.
The amazing people I have come in to contact with over this time have inspired me to create this space so that the rest of the world can benefit from our experiences. Being a Mum is the hardest and the most rewarding thing you will ever do & everyone needs a Mum sometimes.
Through this site you will find reviews from our panel of Mums on products relating to our little ones and our top rated products in each category. All our reviews raise money for our charity, Warwick Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit because our Mums donate on our just giving page to keep their products.
I have also been working to collate all the advice given from people who have been in similar situations such as medical conditions or Post Natal Depression. I will constantly be adding information, tips and reviews and we would love to hear from you if you feel you can add anything that others might benefit from. In time this website will become the ultimate Mums handbook from those who have been there and done it, so from here it’s down to us Mums….
You will also find ‘What’s on guides’ locally, usually updated just in time for the school holidays. I writing my own blog too, which I am really enjoying, these are mainly parenting and lifestyle blogs, one day I hope to be able to write a travel blog for families too.
